  • Develop specialist knowledge of individual design practice.
  • Self determined solutions.

Studio Brief 1:
Micro - Genres of music
  • Thoroughly research micro-genre of music for the sole focus of work - Website: www.everynoise.co.uk - every noise at once.
- Design an object that celebrates or critiques an aspect of the genres specific character: political, aesthetic, production methods, audience demographic. 
- Think visually: literal and lateral responses.
- Be ambitious: flag, ringtone, rug, wallpaper, exercise video, instruction manual, map, perfume, clothing, game, etc.

Consider current state of physical media:
  • Format
  • Packaging, Editions, Objects, etc.
  • Digital/physical.
  • Distribution/the purchasing/ownership of music. 
Deliverables:
  • Documentation - Blog
  • Final exhibition design object printed/produced.
  • 6x (min) design boards.
  • Deadline - 23/04/18 - 10am-12pm

Studio Brief 2:
Product Range Distribution
  • Examine graphic design outputs relating to social, political and ethical change.
  • Increase awareness of historical examples and contemporary practice.
  • Interrelationship between mediums.
  • Produce body of research exploring connections between concepts and responsive.
  • Research should reflect own ideologies, concerns and ambitions.
  • Consider role of 21st century graphic designer.
Part 1:
  • Develop a practical, visual and contextual investigation of specific subject, e.g. recycling.
  • Research primary and secondary sources to explore opportunities for informed creative development.
  • Document on Blog, Part of interim concept pitch.
  • Go places, read, documentaries, questionnaires.
Part 2:
Device and develop body of work.
Knowledge and demonstrates ability to tap into potential for political driven design.
Broader potential of creative contexts.
