OUGD603 - Magna Massage Design Development

Magna Massage Development

The development stage involved trying a few different layouts across all the different deliverables that the client asked for using the chosen imagery. The client asked for flyers, posters and some business cards. The design developed from the initial design removing the black bar that was across the side of the picture for the information. Instead I incorporated the information more subtlety into the design of the poster and flyers.

The flyer only needed a small amount of information on as the client was planning on leaving them in the cafe that was below his studio. This meant that the location wasnt necessary to put on them, just the fact that students and the cafe customers recieve a 25% discount.

The poster needed to have more information on as this was what Chris was planning on using as the main source of information for people by leaving it in places he currently massages and giving posters to all the clients that he already has to help expand his business. The use of a full bleed image for the posters looks so much more aesthetically pleasing than the use of a black bar to place all the information.

Chris hadn't specifically asked for business cards however I wanted to experiment with the imagery and see how it would look when used for business cards. I wanted the business card to be simple so I therefore chose to use the black and white imagery keeping the design cut back to the use of just the use of the two colours black and white. The design used a repetition of his logo pasted across the front of the black and white image and then the use of just a black background on the underside with white writing and a white logo.
