Anyways Rationale


To create an ident for channel 0 using a Rube Goldberg Machine as the featuring element. The ‘Tea Time’ ident is developed from the given category of food, following the concept that in an advertising break many people will put on the kettle for a cup of tea and some biscuits. The ident uses a bold, vibrant colour scheme inspired by the different colours of party rings and various biscuit packaging which often uses pinks, yellows and blues. The use of a Rube Goldberg Machine is used throughout the ident with a cup of tea pushing the biscuits starting the chain reaction of a domino effect of various brands of biscuits falling over to reveal the shape of the channel’s logo; a spiral. The supporting material for the final ident of a zine and behind the scenes video help to explain and reinforce the concept showing the process of the making and using extra imagery and facts that develop the concept further. The zine uses the same typography as the ident and relates further by being the 16:9 ratio when opened.
