Brief/Rationale

To create some sponsorship/fundraising material that can be used to raise money for the charity Lupus UK. The chosen fundraising event is to do a skydive. To raise the at least minimum amount of money of £395 to do the skydive. The posters must be eye catching and explanatory without being overwhelmed with information. The fundraising materials must be consistent with the advertising poster. The chosen fundraising materials are stickers and bookmarks. Stickers can be placed on people and therefore seen by others and a bookmark is a simple object that is used by a lot of people. #LeapforLupus is a pop up campaign that can be placed on stools at events but due to the hashtag can be transferred to a social media campaign meaning that it will be able to reach a wider audience. This would also educate the younger generation on what Lupus is spreading awareness of the illness and the people that suffer. 

I have chosen to look at Lupus for my research brief because my mum has had it since I was really little. She ended up in Lupus crisis and was really poorly for years. She is going to suffer with the disease for the rest of her life but she is such an inspiration and has fought hard to keep some sort of way of life. I am going to do a skydive to raise money for Lupus Uk and help people like my mum. The #LeapforLupus campaign is a personal and passionate project which aims to raise money and spread awareness of the disease.
