Initial Crit -  Objects

When discussing my initial work with my peers they liked the idea of using the 70 year anniversary of the Guinness world records as the basis for my designs. They thought that the use of the scientific symbols for a light bulb added an interesting aspect to the designs that made them stand out among others however they needed to be developed further. From the feedback I was given in the crit I decided that the best direction to go with my work would be to develop the packaging as that was the idea that my peers thought was the most unusual and a gap in the market. They gave me the idea to look into bespoke packaging as this might give me inspiration for my own one off/ limited edition packaging designs.

The designs for the posters were liked my the group when I had a crit however they just felt that the better way to go would be the packaging as it would be more interesting. It also is something that hasn't really been done in the light bulb market before so would be something fairly new. Other positives taken from the crit was the use of simplicity worked well as it was not to over the top and difficult to look at. It was suggested that I try combining the designs that I did for the posters with the designs that I do for the packaging. This is something that I want to experiment with in my further designs.
