Recreate a piece of music in Illustrator relating to your object

Recreate a piece of music in Illustrator relating to your object

The piece of music that I chose to use was a song by Bloc Party called 'Halo'.

This photograph was made with the use of light photography to spell out the words light bulb which is one of the lyrics in the song. I then put the photographs into Illustrator to create one picture rather than separate ones and vectorised the image.

This image is very simple but it a representation of the title of the song (a halo).
This image is the guitar tab for the line in the song which talks about a light bulb. I edited the tab in photoshop to make it look a little bit faded as the line in the song says 'a moth to your light bulb' which I think the moth can be thought of in relation to the idea of something old and forgotten.

This is a simplified version of the Block Party album cover. I used illustrator to image trace the original album cover and then simplified the image so that it is almost unrecognisable.

Using the tab I worked out the chords that would be used for the same line in the song but as a chord sequence rather than a guitar tab. To then make it clear that the letters were chords I made a clipping mask to have them inside of a music note.
