One of the main challenges for the brief is the main using a condom the norm. As the brief mentions "make carrying, and using, a condom the norm. Just like making a cup of tea or brushing your teeth."
In order to explore this further, we started by looking into everyday activities people do. We came up with the idea of replacing it with a condom in order to show that using or carrying a condom should be an everyday norm just like the activities they do everyday. As a concept we thought that this would be strong as its easy to understand but eye catching due to the slightly surreal aspect of putting a condom in situation its not normally seen. An example being an image of someone making a cup of tea and instead of putting a tea bag in the pot/cup they put a condom in it. In order to explore this further, we researched into a number of different activities that an element of this could be replaced with a condom and the way in which this could be done.
Activities:
Making a cup of tea - condom instead of teabag
Making a sandwich - condom as filling
Making your bed - condom on the pillow
Showering - condom in the soup dish
Dishwasher tablet - condom as the tablet
Washing machine - condom as the tablet
Taking multivitamins - condom in the pot
Locking door - condom on the keyring
Going to the toilet - on the lid?
Putting on jewellery - condom as a necklace?
Swipe into the gym - use condom
Taking the dog for a walk - dog treat = condom, poo bags?
Making pasta - condoms as the pasta
