As part of the research towards the initial designs. We both looked at the existing typefaces that had been used by Durex campaigns in the past. Most of the posters use very simple san-serfi type however, the slightly older campaigns seemed to use a serif typeface.
Due to the most recent and also the majority of typefaces used in the Durex campaigns we decided to go for a san-serif typeface. This would give the posters a more modern aesthetic like the more modern Durex posters that have been used. We therefore each created a list of typefaces that we thought could work for our posters.
We decided that our favourite typeface was Cicular Std Book. We therefore decided to experiment with the use of this typeface to see how it would work with the images.
