For the development of the designs we created the characterised and less computerised hands to work with throughout the whole of our designs and for our identity. The designs also were all created in the pink and blue colours in order to have a consistent colour scheme.
The designs created were for stickers, a catalogue, flyers, posters, wayfinding and gifs for social media.
The designs which I contributed to the group work was the creation of the wayfinding. I used the designs which we had created of the hands and made different signs. I thought by extending the arm it added fun to the wayfinding and could help to encourage children to take an interest in the exhibition. I also then created some signs which could be printed on vynal and placed leading into the library to help people be aware of exactly where they needed to go.
In the development of our designs we experimented with screen printing for the flyers. This is something that was highly praised in our group crit and for development it was suggested that we consider using this as a method for creating the posters as well. This was because the use of screen printing really complimented the identity of our brand by incorporating come handmade aspects.
The final part of the designs which we developed was the typeface. We tried making a typeface with a brush and paint but in the end we decided that going with the typeface 'Edo SZ' gave us a more uniformed and consistent logotype.
