For the exhibition branding, I was given the task of creating the wayfinding that would help the public find where the exhibition was inside of the Library.
For the wayfinding I used the hands and arms that we had used for the identity of the brand in order to keep the consistency with the rest of the designs. I extended the arms which I thought could be printed in vinyl and placed on the walls inside the library for people to follow. I thought that this would also help encourage younger viewer to come to the exhibition as it would add some fun to the exhibition. I then also created some signs that could be placed on the doors that would show people they are heading in the correct direction.
I also created some foot prints which I thought could be placed on the floor for people to follow. Again I thought that this would help encourage younger viewers to the exhibition. After discussion with my group we decided that it would be best to leave the footprints out of the designs due to the issue of consistency. They said that they liked the idea but as we didn't have footprints anywhere else in the designs it didn't quite fit with the brand.
I then created some mock up designs showing the wayfinding on different backgrounds. Although these mock ups aren't completely accurate to the walls they will be placed on in the library, I thought that they helped to give a slightly better picture of how we wanted the wayfinding to look.
