My screen print is based on a paralysed boy from Leeds who wrote poems by blinking. He did this by having a list of words read to him and he would blink when he came to a word which he wanted to use. The poster which I have designed is representative of him blinking to chose the words that make up a line from one of his poems. The reason I chose this specific line is because it was imaginative and fun which I thought would encourage people to consider reading his poems after seeing. I chose the colour green as a layer over the poster as it was Adams favourite colour and I thought it would be nice to bring a personal love of his into the design.
The event is celebratory of his life and is a memorial talk that anyone is welcome to go to and listen to the memories and the poems which he wrote.
