The final A1 exhibition poster for the Natural History Museum was designed using a modular grid in order to help me be able to fold the poster from A1 to A4 (Figure 1). The design was inspired by the existing campaign posters created for the museum using the same typeface and logo in order to be consistent with the brand identity of the museum. The pantone poster was also designed using a modular grid in InDesign in order to be able to create a design where I could easily place images and text alongside each other (Figures 2, 3 and 4). The book was printed and bound using a saddle stitch in order for the finished piece to look neat and professional. The final penguin book cover designs were created using the Marber grid in order for the books to identify with the design of the classic penguin book collection (Figures 5, 6 and 7). The imagery chosen for the designs incorporate relation to each books storyline to help give the reader a small idea of what to expect from the book. The colours chosen for the design also are related to the stories of the books, expressing what mood to expect from the book being read. The colours compliment the imagery that the story of each book shows through symbolism.
