We decided to create an Instagram account
as part of the promotion for the show. This is so that we could share any
photos and advertisement in the lead up to the event. It was also a way for us
to keep people updated on any vital information. When designing the layout for
the initial posts we tried a few combinations mainly looking at using a
collection of pictures that when looked at all together on the account would
create an aesthetically pleasing display. The format which we decided to use had
two separate combinations of images posted to the account. The first was an
array of pictures of the dancers with the flyer design being the centre image.
This meant that all the vital information was present on the account for anyone
to refer to. The second group of images were screen shots from the butterfly
video with the Lupus UK logo being the central image. We thought this was
important to include as it made any viewers aware the event was for charity,
and for which charity. We will continued to use this theme of uploading nine
photos at a time as we get closer to the event , also updating the account with
more promotional material.
