OUGD503 - Dogs Trust Brief Design Development

Design Development

When developing the designs for the app I continued to come across different pages that I needed to create in order for it to work efficiently. I needed a page that would pop up once you had liked one of the dogs giving you options to get in touch. The image below shows the designs for this page. After discussion about the designs I went for the fourth image. This is because it showed a better consistency with the rest of the app design.

I then needed to create designs for the messages. This can be seen in the image below. This is how the person interested in the dog would get in touch with dogs trust about a particular dog.

I then designed a page for when you first open the app. The image below shows the loading page for the app.

As the app is based on a person looking for a dog I realised it would be important for the person using the app to have a profile as well for when they are getting in touch about a dog. The image below shows the profile design that I created. I included a few small bits of important information which I thought the dogs trust people would want to know about someone before taking it a step further and allowing them to meet an animal. This included, age, location, job, lifestyle, if they have any other pets or children.

The image below shows the finished design for the profile of the dogs. Each profile includes the age, breed and location of the dog. As I had decided to base the whole thing about these dogs having personalities and stories I gave each dogs profile a short biography giving information about the individuals personality, nature and background.

I developed the app cover. I was going to include 'Fetch a Friend' but I decided that this would look too crowded as it is such a small space. I therefore decided that fetch a friend would be the title that would appear underneath the app when you download it.
