The initial designs for the app were based on trial and error of the design. I became aware that for what I wanted to do I needed to get more images of different dogs so that I could create a range of profiles in order to create a large enough prototype. The first few images show the design development of the profiles of the dogs and the way I intended for them to look.
I had to start thinking about how the profiles would work when it came to choosing the dogs that you liked. I originally looked at a tick and a cross which is the same way that apps such as tinder work when looking through the profiles. After careful consideration I decided that I wasn't sure if a cross would be too negative for choosing a dog so I looked at the use of a love heart for a like and just an arrow for the next profile if you weren't interested in that dog.
I showed the two different designs to my peers and they also thought that it would be much better to have a heart and a arrow as this was a less negative way of saying no to one of the profiles.
